My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to have had our garage roof replaced this week by Elite Contracting from Clifton Park, N.Y. It had been scheduled for early December, but a major snowstorm changed that. We were surprised because we still have huge snowbanks plus the roof was covered in snow. They arrived, shoveled a path around the garage, removed the snow from the roof, spread ice melt to eliminate dangerous footing on the roof then went to work. Within 4 and a half hours, we had abrand new metal roof replacing our 28 year old shingle one. The crew also cleaned up any mess they had made before departing. Excellent company. They replaced my roof a few years back. They worked hard, conscientiously, and did straight-up honest business. They are very skillful at roofing from what I can see. Crew of 3 to 6 were on site at 7:45, started promptly at 8, took 30 minute lunch and worked until 4:30, sometimes 5:00. Work entailed repair of fire and water damaged roof. Repaired damaged soffits, facia, compromised rafters, and completely replaced chimney stone from roof to chimney caps.Very pleased with their work, friendly demeanor, and comprehensive repair. Had an issue with shingles popping up. Called another contractor for an estimate. They are one of the largest roofers in the Capital District. After inspection I was informed that my builder used the wrong thickness decking for the truss spans which was causing the wood to bow. They said the entire roof and wood decking needed to be replaced. I then call Elite. Paul came out, inspected the roof, and said the problem is that the wood was stapled and not nailed. That the wood is in fact the proper thickness but the shingles would have to be removed and the wood all have to be nailed down and new shingles installed.The job was scheduled. The crew was there the day after the material was delivered and completed the job in one day. The cleanup was meticulously completed. The new roof looks fabulous. I highly recommend them both for the quality of the work and the price of the job. Elite Contracting installed a full new roof for me, after the storm took my old roof down, in October 2020. I was very worried as the Northeast weather is generous for rain and snow in the Fall, and I was completely at a loss. Not only Paul and Team showed up right away, they worked with our Insurance company, took pictures for them, explained everything - to the adjusters and to us, recommended quality, reliable and proper style materials, offered a very reasonable price (even at such a short notice, for our two-story home) and issued clear, proper billing - to insurance and myself. The insurance approval was granted asap, our roof was completed before snow, in one day (!), the roof ventilation was finally done properly to avoid mold, and the cleanup was impeccable. They even replaced our shed's roof at a deep discount, so our home and yard are now in a top notch shape - safe, warm and stylish. I finally decided to write a review - so now, 1.5 years/two winters later - the roof is in a perfect condition. Paul and his crew are very professional, polite, and efficient when they replaced three thirty-year old skylights for us. He was very knowledgeable on what the best skylight brand on the market is and explained to us in detail what the price of the new skylights were and the work it entailed for he and his crew to take out the old ones and install the new. They arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy with Elite Contracting and would hire them again...and recommend them to anyone.

I had a roof repair from Paul and his crew.I can’t say enough about the job they did .Thry showed up when promised , set up tarps to protect my plants and landscaping , worked diligently all day long until the job was done.The crew did a great job cleaning up after and also did great repairs to my deck replacing plywood and 2 by 4’s which were bad.Paul made a few trips to get supplies as needed throughout the day.I am very happy with the job they did from start to finish and also received a call from Paul after a few days to make sure everything was ok .If u or anyone u know needs a great roofing job done look no further than elite contracting very professional in every manner I highly recommend them for any roofing job u may need 👍. Amazing job! Paul, the contractor, called within just a few minutes of us requesting service on HomeAdvisor, and was here working within a few days! During the estimate, he was very straight forward and honest about the work that needed to be done. You can tell Paul really knows what he's talking about. He did work on the interior (replacing floors, toilets, and faucets) and the exterior (replaced weather damaged siding) of our house. When he and his partner were working on our floors, we realized we had the wrong color floors (what a nightmare), and Paul went back and fixed the floors with all of the right color. You can tell he takes a lot of integrity in his work.If you want the job done right the first time, call Elite Contracting! A lot of integrity, honesty, and hard work! I absolutely recommend this business. Will be calling soon for more work!
